Walter (Mike) M. Cooper

Walter (Mike) M. Cooper, 60, of Orangeville passed away unexpectedly Thursday October 27, 2016 at his residence. He was born February 3, 1956 in Bloomsburg, a son of the late Walter E. and Helen (English) Cooper.

He graduated from Central Columbia High School class of 1974. He worked as a welder and retired from Strick, Berwick. Walter was a member of the Catawissa Boat Club. Walter enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, wood working, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was an avid Phillies and Eagles fan.

Walter is survived by his wife the former Diane Fox, and four children; Lisa Marusak and companion Todd Jarmiolowski of Honey Pot, Stacy Hermanofski and husband Rodney of Shickshinny, Jeremiah Cooper and wife Melissa of Shickshinny, and Justin Cooper and wife Janelle of Julian, PA. As well as nine grandchildren; Mason, Abigail, Morgan, Austin, Ashlyn, Cayden, Cindy, Lorie, and Jennifer, one great-grandson Scott Mosier, two sisters; Diane Hess and husband Lane of Bloomsburg, Rosetta Karnes of Bloomsburg, and brother Douglas Cooper and wife Patti of Benton.

Walter was preceded in death by his parents as well as brother-in-law Elroy Karnes.

Services will be Monday October 31, 2016 at 11:00 am at the James L. Hinckley Jr. Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc, 1024 Market St., Berwick with Pastor Charles Claybourn officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Family will receive friends from 10:00 am until time of service.
