Sheldon G. (Skip) Fedder

Sheldon G. (Skip) Fedder, 85, of Lime Ridge passed away October 19, 2017 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. He was born September 22, 1932 in Lime Ridge, a son of the late Floyd and Elizabeth (Heaps) Fedder.

He graduated from Bloomsburg High School class of 1950 and then served his country in the United States Army in Germany from 1953-1954. He was with the 1st Regiment Drum and Bugle Corp. Sheldon worked at Letterman’s Bakery, Magee Carpet Co. and retired from United Rental Service (formerly Sunshine Laundry Lycoming Linen) in 1994.

Sheldon was a member of the Lime Ridge United Methodist Church, charter member of the Lime Ridge Fire Company, Lime Ridge Band, Berwick Elks, and the Bloomsburg American Legion. He loved gardening and golfing. Sheldon was an avid Penn State and Pittsburg Steelers fan. Most of all Sheldon loved fishing with his son.

Sheldon was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was preceded in death by his parents as well as his brothers; Harold, William, Theodore, and Larry.

Sheldon is survived his wife the former Margy Ebling, with whom he celebrated there 66th wedding anniversary in February, son Sheldon Fedder II. and fiancé Carolyn, and several nieces and nephews.
