Robert D. Klinger Sr.

Robert D. Klinger Sr., 89, of Danville went to be with the Lord March 28, 2017 at his residence. He was born August 13, 1927 in Berwick, a son of the late Harvey Jacob and Edna May (Knouse) Klinger.

He attended Berwick High School and then worked for Bloom Mills as a supervisor. Robert belonged to Calvary Baptist Church, Bloomsburg. He enjoyed woodworking and gardening

Robert is survived by three children; Robert D. Klinger Jr. and wife Karen of Bloomsburg, Joanne E. Bauman husband Clyde of McAllen, Texas, and Doris Stroup husband Rudy of Bloomsburg, 23 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his wife the former Arlene Wagner who passed away December 19, 2008, four brothers; William, Alvin, Doyle, and Leroy Klinger and three sisters; Harriet Naugle, Pauline Sitler, and Loretta Klinger.

Services will be Monday April 3, 2017 11:30 am at Calvary Baptist Church, 3300 Ridge Road, Bloomsburg with his Pastor Tim Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Elan Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at the church from 10:30 am until time of service.
