Oscar Welsh Jr.

Oscar Welsh Jr., 87, of Berwick, passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at the Berwick Hospital.
He was born November 10, 1930 in Berwick, a son of the late Oscar and Maude “Dietterick” Welsh Sr.
He graduated from Berwick High School.  He worked at Wise as a mechanic for many years and then started his own business Welsh’s Garage and Towing.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Nora “Kishbaugh” Welsh passed May 3, 2002, a son Michael Welsh passed April 2011, grandson Jesse Welsh, two brothers Leon and Jay Welsh, sister Helen Hayman, and son-in-law Mark Travelpiece.
Oscar is survived by a son Jay L. Welsh of Berwick and three daughters; Ruth Ann Travelpiece of Nescopeck, Jan and her husband David Lawton of Mechanicsburg, Beth and her husband Joseph Robsock, daughter in-law Karen Welsh of Millersburg, eight grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 11:00 am at James L. Hinckley Jr. Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. 1024 N. Market St. Berwick, Pa 18603 with Pastor Debbie Harvey officiating. Burial will be at Pine Grove Cemetery.
