Freda M (Beck) Tyson

Freda M. Tyson, 90, of Berwick passed away July 9, 2016 at Orangeville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born May 11, 1926 in Berwick, a daughter of the late Andrew and Anna (Ertwine) Beck.

She graduated from Berwick High School class of 1944. Freda was a member of Ebenzer Faith Bible Church where she was very active. Freda enjoyed spending time with her family. She spent her winters in Florida where she helped at New Tribe Missions in Sanford, Florida.

Freda is survived by two children; Peggy Smith and husband Donald of Berwick, and Jamie Tyson, two grandchildren; Kelly Calvert and Mathew Tyson and two great grandchildren Abigail and Jack Calvert. Also two sisters Ruth Clark of Berwick and Ida Hunsinger of Berwick.

Freda was preceded in death by her husband Charles E. Tyson who passed away September 28, 2014, son Edward Charles Tyson, five brothers; Roland, Russell, Clarence, David, and William Buck, and two sisters Mayona Chebro and Dorothy Smith.

Services will be Wednesday July 13, 2016 at 11:00 am at the James L. Hinckley Jr. Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 1024 Market St., Berwick with Pastor Paul Mosely Sr. of Bible Baptist Church in Benton officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, Walnut Street. Family will receive friends from 10:00 am till time of service.

In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory may be sent to Commonwealth Home Health and Hospice, 109 W. 9th St., Berwick.
