Eloise (Brown) Lupini

Eloise Brown Lupini, 94, a lifelong resident of Mifflinville, passed away on Dec. 31, 2017, following a brief illness.

Born March 6, 1923, in Mifflinville, she was the second of 11 children born to the late Floyd and Caroline (Gram) Brown. She attended one-room schools in Mifflin Township and Mifflin High School and lived her entire life in Mifflinville. As a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, she taught Sunday School for 52 years and enjoyed serving at church functions. 

She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Oreste Lupini, in 1985, and by the following siblings: Kathryn Lupini, Betty Masteller, Bob Brown, Homer Brown, Howard Brown, John Brown, Roland Brown, Donald (Buck) Brown, infant Sherry Brown; and daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Creasy Lupini.

Eloise is survived by her sister, Inez Keller, Berwick, and four sons: Herbert Lupini, The Villages, Fla., Max (Betty) Lupini, Winter Haven, Fla., Robert (Susan) Lupini, Bellbrook, Ohio, Larry (Janet) Lupini, Mifflin Township.   

Eloise was “Grammy” to 10 and great-grandma to 18 plus beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews, and Mom or Grandmom to many Mifflin residents. 

The viewing, a “pink” celebration of her life, will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Fifth and Race streets in Mifflinville, from 10:30 a.m.-noon, on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018, followed by the funeral service. Please bring your personal memories of Eloise to share with her family and friends. Her pastor, the Rev. Brian Vasey, will be officiating. Burial will be in the Mifflinville Cemetery.
