Dorothy H. (Beck) Smith

Dorothy H. Smith, 97, of Orangeville, passed away May 6, 2016 at her home with her daughters by her side.

She was born December 1, 1918 in Berwick, a daughter of the late Andrew and Anna (Ertwine) Beck.

Dorothy worked for A&P – cigar factory and M&M Dress Factory. She enjoyed spending time with family and doing word search puzzles.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Calvin C. Smith, they were married for fifty six years until he passed away August 21, 2003 and five brothers Roland, Russell, Clarence, David and William Beck and a sister Mayona Chebro.

Dorothy is survived by two daughters Cathie L. Smith with whom she lived with and Holly and her husband Frank Zenzel of Berwick and three granddaughters Erika and her husband Tracey Semmel of Hamburg, Krista and her husband Michael Smyrl of Hazleton and Heidi and her husband Timothy Francioni JR. of Hobbie and a great grandson Mason Semmel and three sisters Ruth Clark and Ida Hunsinger both of Berwick and Freda Tyson of Orangeville.

Services will be at the convenience of the family. Burial will take place at Pine Grove Cemetery Walnut St. Berwick. Friends may send condolences at jameslhinckleyjrfuneralhome.com.
