Dorothy (Kirylych) Holiwski

Dorothy Kirylych Holiwski, 84, of Berwick passed away November 3, 2016 at Berwick Retirement Village II. She was born January 1, 1932 in Berwick, a daughter of the late Andrew and Catherine (Ewako) Kirylych.

She graduated from Berwick High School and then received her certification as a paralegal. She worked for the US Army as a secretary, and then as a paralegal for law offices in Washington, D.C.  Dorothy belonged to League of Ukrainian Catholics, Berwick Senior Circle, Luray Rifle Club, and Notary Public in Washington, D.C. She was an avid reader and enjoyed doing jig saw puzzles. She volunteered at Berwick Retirement Village I and II and the Target Shooter.

Dorothy is survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents as well as six sisters; Stephanie Helberg, Catherine Kirylych, Mary Balkin, Sophie O’Neil, Anna Roll, and Helen Kirylych, and four brothers; Andrew Kirylych Jr., John, Nicholas, and Michael Kirylych.

Graveside services will be held Monday November 7, 2016 at 11:00 am at Roselawn Cemetery, Berwick. Family and friends may send online condolences to jameslhinckleyjrfuneralhome.com.
