Darlene M (Grant) Bower

Darlene M. Bower, 78, of Berwick passed away Thursday, Aug. 18, 2016, at the Berwick Retirement Village.

Born Aug. 6, 1938, in Nanticoke, a daughter of the late George and Virginia “Calendar” Grant, she attended Berwick schools. She worked for Wise Potato Chips and then worked for Suntex Cleaning. She enjoyed going out to eat and spending time with family. She had been a member of Bethany United Methodist Church for 50 years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, George and Larry Grant.

She is survived by her husband, Scott E. Bower, and they celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary this past March; two sons: Randy Bower of Norfolk, Va.; Scott Bower and his wife, Patti, of Berwick; and two daughters: Deborah Goetz of Norfolk, Va.; and Susan and her husband, Jim Morgan, of Berwick; four grandchildren: Christopher Goetz of Norfolk, Va.; Amy Bandics of Berwick; and Michael and Matthew Bower, both of Berwick; and a great-granddaughter, Taylor Goetz of Norfolk, Va.
