Clyde D. Bower Jr.

Clyde D. Bower Jr., 75, of Berwick, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2017 at Berwick Retirement Village. He was born July 4, 1941 in Berwick, a son of the late Clyde D. and Edna Mae (Samsel) Bower Sr.

He attended Berwick Schools. Clyde had his own construction business for over forty years and he always took pride in his work.  He enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting and the outdoors. He is a member of the Masonic Knapp Lodge 462.

Clyde is survived by his wife the former Rose M. Buttener, whom he married September 2, 1988, five children: Stephen Bower, Paige Bower, Daniel Bower, Billie Jean Diehl and Amanda Dershem, nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. As well as three brothers; John R. Bower, Tom L. Bower and Don E. Bower.

A memorial service will be Thursday at 7:00 pm at the James L. Hinckley Jr. Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. 1024 Market St., Berwick, with Pastor Raymond D. Purdy Jr. officiating.  The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 pm until the time of service.

The family would like to extend their gratitude and appreciation to the Berwick Retirement Village for the care and compassion provided to Clyde during his time spent there.  A special thanks to “Howie” for the patience and kindness shown.
