Clifford W. "Bert" Titus Sr.

Clifford W. “Bert” Titus Sr., 76, of Nescopeck, passed away Wednesday May 10, 2017 at Geisinger Medical Center. He was born February 28, 1941 in Nanticoke, a son of the late William and Flora (Franklin) Titus.

He attended Northwest Schools. Bert worked for ARGO as a crane operator. He enjoyed riding motorcycles with his brothers, hunting, helping his son Harry in his construction business, and watching old western movies especially John Wayne.

Bert is survived by his wife the former Catherine Stout, whom he married July 16, 1960, three children; Clifford W. Titus Jr. and fiancé Gail Bridges of Berwick, Harry W. “Rusty” Titus of Berwick, and Tammy Jo Farver and husband Mark of Nescopeck. As well as six grandchildren; Clifford Titus III., Jessica Young, Janelle Titus, Nathan Farver, Cody Farver, Kristopher Lane, seven great-grandchildren; Riley Titus, Jordan Young, Gage Dunn, Kaiya Titus, Kayden Titus, Kendall Titus, and Zachary Lane, brother William “Bill” Titus and wife Bonnie of Dallas, and two sisters; Laura Titman of Shickshinny, and Emma Coombs and husband Barry of Dallas.

Bert was preceded in death by his parents as well as his daughter Alice Lane who passed away in 1996, and two granddaughters Tiffany and Tabitha Farver.

Services will be Monday May 15, 2017 at 11:00 am at the James L. Hinckley Jr. Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 1024 N. Market St., Berwick with Pastor John Bondhus of Hetlerville United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Scott Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 10:00 am until time of service at the funeral home.
