Camillo “Cam” T. Melchiorre 75, of Berwick Pa; went to be with the Lord Thursday March 8, 2018 at the Berwick Hospital surrounded by his family.

Camillo was born November 9, 1942, in Berwick, the son of the late Thomas and Ida (Zapino) Melchiorre.

He was a graduate of Berwick High School and received his Associates Degree from Wilkes University. He was inducted into Berwick High School Sports Hall of Fame in 2002. Camillo was a member St Mary’s Catholic Church in Berwick, Catholic War Vet, MA, Garibaldi, and 12th Man Club. He loved Berwick football, Penn State Football, Notre Dame Football, Pittsburg Steelers and the N.Y. Yankees. He was the United States National English Dart Champion in 1977, 1980 and 1977 he was 2nd in the World. Camillo also served in the National Guard after High School.

Camillo is survived by his wife the former Patricia (Diana) Melchiorre, whom he married April 29, 1967, two sons, Mark J. Melchiorre of Berwick and Thomas M. Melchiorre and his wife Denise of Nescopeck, and two grandchildren Allie and Evan. He was the last of his immediate family.    

A Mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday March 13, 2018 at 11:00 am at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 1730 Fowler Ave, Berwick PA with Father Francis J. Tamburro officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 10:00 am until time of service.
