Betty Jean (Major) Topper

Betty Jean Topper 86, of Berwick passed away Monday November 20, 2017, at Berwick Retirement Village I. Betty was born March 9, 1931 in Berwick, a daughter of the late Carl and Arlene Major.

Her career as a hospital Admission Office manager in New Jersey spanned over 25 years. Her last job was in Berwick at PP&L. She was a member of the Bethany United Methodist Church.

Betty cherished spending time with her Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren. She was a talented knitter and after her retirement volunteered countless hours at Berwick Retirement Village.

She is survived by her children Richard Topper Jr. and Cathy (Greg) Burnett of Missouri; two grandchildren Christian O'Brien and Jason O'Brien of Kansas; five great-grandchildren; one brother Richard Major of Berwick.

Funeral services will be Monday Nov. 27, 2017 at 1:00 pm at the James L. Hinckley Jr. Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc, 1024 Market St, Berwick. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery.
