Arlene June (Sitler) Stimeling

Arlene June Stimeling, 88, of Berwick, passed away Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.

She was born June 8, 1929, in Berwick, a daughter of the late Sterling Andrew and Cleaetta Alberta (Eckroth) Sitler.

She attended Berwick schools. She worked in housekeeping at the Berwick Retirement Village. Arlene enjoyed going to the shore (Atlantic City), playing penny bingo, and most of all enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great- grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Stimeling, and sister, Audrey Smith.

She is survived by a son, Jerry Lee Smith, and his wife, Dawn, of Berwick: two grandchildren: Christian Noel Smith and his wife, Leslie, of Pittsburgh, Troy William Smith and his wife, Lynn, of Bloomsburg; six great-grandchildren: Aaron, Adam, Craig, Benjamin, Zachary and Nathan; and three sisters: Zola Davis and Winifred Hess, both of Berwick, and Hester and her husband, Charles Jones, of Florida.
